FitTrack

FitTrack is a small yet intuitive application that comes in handy for everyone who wants to calculate their body mass index, ideal weight and waist ratio. Plus, the tool comes with BMI and body fat tables, along with a short guide on how to measure your body.

The provided layout is self-explanatory, structured into the personal information panel and the "BMI/Weight", "Body Fat", "Metabolism" and "KnowledgeBase" tabs. All the data from the guide can be copied to the clipboard and then used in documents, books or projects.

To start, simply enter your age, gender, height, weight, frame size (small, medium, large) and the activity level, along with the waist, hips, wrist, forearm, thigh and calf values. Hitting the "Calculate" button displays the results on the right.

Based on the app's built-in parameters, a smiley is shown next to the values, which represents your overall condition. You can access detailed information about the body mass and fat range tables, the normal waist to height ratio measurement, as well as how to measure your body parts correctly.

The "Metabolism" tab displays the resting metabolic rate and the calorie intake you need to consume every day. It would've been a great addition if the utility offered an export function to save all the values to a DOC, TXT or CSV file.

The bottom line is that FitTrack is a useful piece of software designed to offer an estimation of your body mass index, the metabolic rate and optimal daily calorie intake based on your age, gender, height, weight and body measurements. Before following a strict diet based on the shown values, it's recommended to consult a nutritionist.
