Karasunpo

Karasunpo is a simple and straightforward tool that enables you to measure the nominal length and angle in an image or PDF document. The tool can come in handy for anyone interested in determining the real size of objects in an image.

The application is available as both setup and in a portable version, so you can grab the latter if you prefer not installing software on your PC. The tool comes with a minimalist single-window interface that consists of a large working window where you input the file and an instruction area located in the left that guides you through the process.

You can get started by opening the image, an action that you can perform by using the dedicated button or with a simple drag and drop. The next step entails you select a measuring type, which can be a radian, inclination of one segment or the length of the segment. The color of the segment can be changed to various colors so the measurement is clear throughout the process.

Afterward, you are asked to draw the segment in the image and you can even zoom in to make sure that you encompass the entire area. You can choose to highlight the segment via an auxiliary circle, if necessary. Providing all measuring was done, the app displays the length and angle.

When it comes to measurements in images, the standard methods of grabbing a measuring tape and directly proceeding to learn the dimensions does not work. If you want to find out the real size of objects, then you need to rely on specialized tools. Even though the program is designed to provide nominal sizes, it allows you to find out so-called “in name only” values that are standard in a given field.
