KingDraw

KingDraw provides a working environment for expert chemists, teachers and students alike, allowing them to create molecules and reactions from a user-friendly interface. The application offers graphical tools that enable you to build simple to complex chemical structures with ease using drag and drop actions.

Most of the interface of KingDraw is taken by the editing area, where graphical chemical structures can be placed and connected using various types of bonds: simple, double, triple, bold and wedged. Acyclic and snaking chains can also be added, along with predefined groups and chair cyclohexanes. Other drawing elements, such as arrows and brackets can be used when creating more complicated structures or reactions.

KingDraw automatically generates the chemical properties of the compound, allowing you to analyze its formula, the exact mass, the molecular weight, and other parameters that you might need. You can have a look at the periodic table of elements if you need to get the atomic number of an element or check its position. Chemical structures can be easily converted to IUPAC names.

It is worth noting that KingDraw comes with a 3D module, allowing you to view the generated compound as a 3D model, with all the color-coded elements and molecules. The interactive viewer allows you to move and rotate the compound and provides various view modes, including one without the hydrogen atoms.

KingDraw can export structures as PNG photos, allowing you to create locally-stored files that can be included in any other project.

Another noticeable feature is the integrated cloud support. KingDraw Cloud can securely backup your chemical projects to the cloud, keeping the data secure and allowing you to access it from anywhere, regardless of the platform you are using.
