Lap Counter

Lap Timer is a desktop tool you can use a stopwatch and record multiple laps with time taken at different checkpoints.

It's a Metro application that can be easily used by those interested in tracking people while running or swimming, whether they're training for competitions or just having fun.

The app was specially designed for desktops, tablets, notebooks and laptops running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, ideally mobile devices with touch support. It's signed by Microsoft as far as security goes, which means that you can download and install it from the Windows Store.

When it comes to the Modern UI, Lap Timer has a large window that can be switched to full screen by clicking the first button displayed on the upper-right corner of the screen.

You can start the timer and click the Lap button whenever you want to mark the time of a new checkpoint. It's possible to record as many laps as necessary, then stop the timer to check out statistics with the total laps, total time taken, and time of each lap. All laps are numbered automatically. To restart the stopwatch, just click the reset button.

Unfortunately, Lap Timer doesn't implement options for copying or saving to file the statistics with all lap times. However, you can take a screenshot of the currently displayed content and share it using OneNote or another Modern UI you have installed.

In conclusion, Lap Timer may not have a rich set of options and configuration settings, but it provides a simple way of timing laps in a user-friendly interface, specially made for mobile devices with touch support. It's ideal for users looking for a stopwatch utility without complex features to worry about.
