MeteoWorld is not your run-of-the-mill weather widget or forecast application. In fact, MeteoWorld is not even a single program, but a hefty collection of tools designed to download professional, meteorological data off the internet. In other words, this kit provides you with charts and graphical representations of weather behavior around the world, not just the next-day predictions.

As it was already mentioned, MeteoWorld is a package containing around 16 apps. Out of this number, half of them are dedicated to downloading charts, viewing them based on station and weather elements. The other half is focused on offering synoptic charts for Europe's most high-profile countries like Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the UK.

The particular charts can be represented by still images or animations and include surface weather details like winds, rains, cyclones, pressure, and more. A 2D map is provided with each synoptic shortcut, and toolbars for changing out dates, weather stations, and other details are available for use, too.

Downloading weather charts and studying aerological or diurnal maps is not a task casual users like to take on. MeteoWorld cannot really be of use to you unless your activity includes going over complex meteorological archives. However, people tend to try new things out anyway, and the extensive help section ensures everybody gets accommodated. Look for the Help label or press F1 on your keyboard to learn how to operate each individual tool.

MeteoWorld might lead one to think this is a basic forecast program for day-to-day use, but that's not the case. This tiny app collection is more of a scientific project for anyone interested in hard meteorological information represented by charts, maps, and graphs. If you are looking for more than a widget, this utility might be of use.
