To help you out, Name Maker LE comes with an incredibly large database which is sure to come in handy.

Although you’re first taken through a setup process to ensure everything goes as planned, it’s possible to have it deployed on a thumb drive in case you want to use it on other computers than your own. Note, however, that .NET Framework needs to be installed on the target PC, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality.

As far as the visual design is concerned, the application does a decent job at presenting its set of features. A sequence of tabs ensures that you don’t run into any issues when it comes to configuring the process, while results are displayed in a large list.

The application can generate quite an abundance of names, given its well-documented database. As such, the three tabs for names, first, middle, and last, allow you to pick starting letters to better narrow down results. You can choose to quickly select or clear all entries at the press of a button.

Down in the results tab, you can manually specify the amount of names to generate. Moreover, you need to choose the gender of names, but you can’t have both selected. On the downside of things, the application doesn’t let you export entries, so you need to manually save the names of interest.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Name Maker LE is a reliable application which can surely generate at least a name which you can use in real life, or even for video game characters. Even though you can’t save the list, it can always be generated again, with options for first, middle, and last names.
