A computer is a modern multifunctional tool, which engulfs probably the most uses into a single device. Needless to say that the right applications need to be used to provide them, and this can even mean education. For instance, Notecards comes with the means to help you create virtual notecards, and even take a quiz with them.

Before the application can even be installed on your computer, it’s best to make sure that Java Runtime Environment is already there. On the other hand, this means that you don’t necessarily need to use a Windows operating system to run the application, which provides quite the degree of flexibility.

The visual design makes accommodation easy for individuals of all levels of experience. It includes a variety of default Java application themes in case you don’t like the default one. There’s a side navigation panel which makes it easy to browse through project elements, while the rest of the space is where notecards are viewed.

A notecard is simply a piece of paper with query on one side, and an answer on the other. Creating one here is pretty easy, with a window showing up with the two sections you need to fill in with the right words. There are several preset characters you can quickly insert, but there are no options to add more resources, such as pictures.

Files are saved as XML, with the possibility to export and import. As mentioned, the application includes a test mode, which comes in handy in case you don’t rely on the Print function to create actual notecards.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Notecards is a practical application you can use to create cool notecards, and even take them for a spin to see if this method of learning is efficient. The design is intuitive, while the creation process requires little effort on your behalf.
