This lightweight program does not require you to install it on your computer, as it is portable. It does not tamper with any of your Windows' registry entries, nor does it create extra files or folders on your PC.

It comes with a minimalistic user interface that encompasses straightforward functions, thus allowing you to operate them with minimum effort. However, given that this application aims to simplify the work of health department personnel, novices might have trouble understanding it.

SMIR allows you to perform ratio calculations in an easy, efficient manner. For instance, it is possible that you can calculate the mortality or incidence ratio within a given population in a convenient fashion.

You can either input the incidence value for 100,000 subjects, the number of observed cases and the total population, or rely on other methods, according to your needs. It is also possible to use indicators or prevalence and general population values in order to reach your result.

After filling in the required information, this application allows you to view the results in an efficient manner, as significant results are displayed in green while less important ones are displayed on a red background.
