Scrabble Aide

Scrabble Aide is a lightweight and portable app that can help you find out solutions for the Scrabble game, based on the letters you have at hand. It can be easily handled, even by users with no experience in software programs.

Since this is a portable piece of software, Scrabble Aide does not come with an installation package. In other words, you can store the tool on a USB flash drive or similar storage device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file on any computer.

You can use Scrabble Aide whenever you go to a friend's house to play Scrabble. From the technical point of view, the bonus is that no items are left behind on the hard drive or in the Windows Registry after program removal.

The interface of the application consists of a standard window and an intuitive layout. Scrabble Aide follows the 'what you see is what you get' principle, as there are no features available, aside from the ones visible in the main application window.

All you have to do is insert the letters you are dealing with, click the 'Solve' button and look into a list of results. Double-clicking each item brings up a webpage with the definition of the respective world, with the courtesy of Dictionary.com. Unfortunately, you cannot exchange the dictionary with the one from another website.

The small tool runs on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and immediately displays results in the list. No error dialogs popped up during our evaluation and the app did not freeze or crash. To conclude, Scrabble Aide offers a simple solution for creating Scrabble words.
