SelfTest Engine

Selftest Engine is a professional software application designed specifically for helping you prepare for IT certification exams. The tool comes packed with several exam questions, provides answers to questions, generates self-assessment reports and includes documentation references.

In order to take exams you need to create a profile. You can easily set up a new profile directly from the program’s interface by providing details about the first name, last name, email address, password, secret question, and answer. You can make the utility automatically log in to the current profile.

The tool sports a clean and intuitive interface that gives you the possibility to get started with case study demonstration exam or standard demonstration exam.

Selftest Engine provides support for two different learning modes, namely Learning Mode and Certification Mode.

The first one is specifically designed to help you tweak your exams according to your needs. You can make the app display questions in a random order, define a custom number of items from all test objectives and item types (up to four choices), select items containing user-defined keywords, and choose the items where you enter notes.

The tool displays the correct answers, lets you enter custom notes for each question, as well as review each item. At the end of the learning exam, you can check out info about the overall score and date, retake only the incorrect questions, access a history with all your tests and view details about each one (date, time, score, number of questions), display graphical results, and email your score.

The Certification module enables you to take the actual certification test within a given time. You can mark items for review, go to the next or previous question, as well as view remaining time displayed in the main panel.

Selftest Engine allows you to pause the test, change the color scheme for the interface, alter the current user profile, and customize the text in terms of font, font style, size and color.

When it comes to configuration settings, you are allowed to enter the passing score, always show the answer, activate item optimizer (this feature helps the program automatically select the items for you by tracking your correct answers), eliminate items as you correctly answer them, and enter the number of times you want to correctly answer an item before it is removed from the exam.

What’s more, you can randomize your answer choices, enable the admin mode for controlling which functions a user/student can have access to, password-protect the admin mode, disable use of 'Show Answer' and ‘Details’ buttons in the Practice Exam, disable access to practice exam mode, set the certification mode time and number of items, and deactivate printing options and time extension.
