The Internet is not known as the Information Superhighway for nothing. Even though it’s also the root of all evil, it’s also the place where you can add and find large amounts of info. For instance, applications like Supplement Facts Generator serve as a suitable editing platform for different types of info, and generate HTML files to include in your projects.
It takes only a little while to deploy it on your computer and check out the set of features. It runs well even on latest Windows installments, but you need to make sure that Adobe AIR is installed on your computer for everything to go as planned.
One thing needs to be understood, and that’s that the application is specially designed to let you create supplement nutritional fact sheets, and unless letting the name tell you this, the application holds little to no related info, explanations, or help documents. Running it and assuming you can start work directly can actually leave you scratching your head for a while.
The main window is designed with high-quality visual elements that create a pleasant view. However, implementation of functions is a little faulty, and some elements and panels risk leaving your screen, with no scroll bar, or options to view them for the matter.
The application intends to make the build and export process fast. As such, you’re directly thrown in the creation process, and you need to write corresponding details right from the start. The page header is the first item, with the possibility to add number, serving size, and a few more elements. Building the header takes you to more advanced creation elements.
A menu is presented, with options to add info regarding nutrition and ingredients. Unfortunately, you need to know exactly what you’re doing, because you can’t revisit an item once it’s added. The level of detail you can add is impressive, but only refers to text, and no option to include any kind of external files.
Before finalizing the project, you can only add other ingredients. One built, the new fact sheet is brought up in your default web browser. A HTML file is created on your computer so you can include it in other projects.
All things considered, we come to the conclusion that Supplement Facts Generator comes with good intentions and wants to help you create nutritional fact sheets in the nick of time. However, with no built-in documentation or general description, a considerable amount of time needs to be invested in accommodation, only to realize the result might not live up to expectations.
