Wage & Salary Calculator for Windows 8

Wage & Salary Calculator is a small-sized app designed for computers running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10, which enables you to seamlessly calculate hourly wages based on the annual salary, and vice versa, according to US law.

It includes a simple set of options that can be quickly configured, even by users with no previous experience in financial calculators.

The tool can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store and swiftly integrated with the Start Screen in Windows 8 or 8.1, as well as the Start Menu in Windows 10. It's wrapped in a user-friendly interface, represented by a large window with a flat look, typical for Metro apps.

You can either specify the annual or hourly salary, depending on which information you have at hand, along with the number of days for unpaid leave, and the number of hours worked every week.

Calculations are instantly made with the click of a button. In addition to the sum of money earned per minute and second, you can find out the total working days and hours. Unfortunately, there are no other notable options implemented by the app.

For instance, it doesn't give you the possibility to change the currency from US dollars to something else. Thanks to built-in Windows options, you can share Wage & Salary Calculator with your friends via messaging, OneNote, Twitter, or other means of communication.

It worked smoothly in our tests, without triggering the operating system to hang, crash or prompt errors. Unsurprisingly, CPU and RAM usage was minimal, so it had minimal impact on the computer's performance.

Wage & Salary Calculator may not have a particularly rich set of options and configuration properties, but it offers a straightforward solution for calculating hourly and yearly salaries.
