You may live with the idea that all you have to do is pick up a weight, do some biceps curls, and suddenly your whole body will grow to Adonis-like proportions. Unfortunately, life is not that easy and each muscle group needs to be trained in order to achieve aesthetical harmony. That is where an application such as iMuscle Home can come in handy.

As soon as you launch the application, you'll notice that it gives you a brief, skippable tutorial where it teaches you everything you might need to know how each tab and buttons work exactly. Once you are done with it, you may proceed and create your user profile by inputting age, sex, weight, height, and name which will come in handy later.

One of the greatest features iMuscle Home brings to the table is the highly detailed anatomical model powered by a state of the art graphics engine. It allows you to see how every muscle fiber twitches and turns as you program it to do different exercises. Speaking of exercises, the application boasts a library of over 280, all of them either isolated or compound exercises, yet specifically created with the purpose of being done at home.

Each exercise video demonstration is accompanied by some information that is divided into three segments: preparation, execution, and comments. The preparation phase advises you how to begin the exercise (how and what to grab, starting position etc). The execution tells you how to perform the actual exercises and the comments give additional advice (tips and tricks, how to improve posture, rep numbers etc).

If you're not sure how to start off, you may find exercises in one of the two ways: either click the specific muscle group you want to work on and you will see all exercises that affect it, or type in the name of an exercise, and iMuscle Home will find all other exercises that affect most of the same muscle groups, then you can choose which are most suitable to your taste.

The user information inputted when you first launched the application is used as a profile to store the exercises you want for future references. For example, if you feel like doing arms, you don't have to click and look around for arm exercises each time. All you have to do is pick a couple of exercises, add them to your favorites, and next time you launch you will find them all grouped up and ready to be used.

iMuscle Home impresses with good graphics, detailed explanations, realistic model motion, and a simple UI, all of which are key factors in making this program well suited for when you are too busy to go to the gym, yet conscious enough to realize you need a healthy body.
