AXGen2-RadioLab

AXGen2-RadioLab is an application that can simplify the software development process a great deal. The program has the role of automatically generating an already optimized C code firmware that you can use as the cornerstone for writing the source for application involving various Axsem microcontrollers and low power radios.

Following a quick and forthright installation, you are welcomed by a rather unpolished and minimalistic interface. Even though the main window includes a plethora of functions and features, they are neatly arranged and organized, so you are unlikely to encounter issues while using the program.

While it is structured as a single window, the UI is separated into three main sections, namely TX and RX, Approximate current consumption and Action. You can select the desired default options and customize the parameters of certain features, such as the average signal of the radio device, the period TX or the maximum number of transmission it can handle.

Before you can generate the C code, first you need to specify the location for your project as well as the  desired name. Afterwards, you are required to define your application by specifying its type, hardware that it is designed for, PHY values and the Framing.

You will be happy to learn that the utility calculates the settings you selected automatically and that you can edit them by accessing the Expert mode, if necessary. It is important to note that the generated code is available as AXCode::Blocks projects.
