ColorVisionCorrection Tool

For those of you who don't know, color vision deficiency represents a group of conditions that affect the perception of color. Basically, people who suffer from this are unable to see certain colors.

The defects that comprise this deficiency are red-green, blue-yellow or blue cone. ColorVisionCorrection Tool was designed to help these people see images that might contain colors that are unperceivable by them.

Basically, the program applies certain filters or changes certain colors in order to make the entire image viewable for everyone.

After it finishes, the application will create 3 new images. They will be of the same picture you used initially, but with the color patterns changed.

Before beginning to use ColorVisionCorrection Tool, there are a few steps you need to take in order to make sure it is going to work.

First of all, the program can only process one image at a time and supports the JPG, BMP, and PNG formats. You also need a folder named "correction" inside the program's directory for it to export the three edited images to.

There are two methods of using the picture you want. The first one implies having it in the application folder and naming it "Media". When opening the program, it will automatically detect the image and process it.

The second method consists of simply dragging and dropping any image you want over the launcher. For this one, you can have it named however you want.

These conditions are serious, even though it may not sound like it to some people. The ones suffering from them cannot see like most of us and in some cases, it can lead to photophobia, involuntary back-and-forth eye movements, or myopia.

At least when it comes to viewing some images, this program is able to help them.
