The program is fairly simple to understand and work with, requiring minimal experience in working with a computer or similar applications. The main window of Cricket Scoreboard Pro is the 'Controller' panel, where the scored points can be marked. You can also choose the 'Bowler' or the 'Batsman'.

When starting a new game, you need to input the 'Visitor Team' and 'Host Team' names, along with their team files, specifically the participants, including their name and number. The information can later be edited, if it proves to be inaccurate in any way. You have to pick which team will be batting first.
