Portable application that helps you emulate Nintendo DS games, import data from different file formats (NDS, BIN, ZIP or AGB file format), limit the FPS, and assign hotkeys #Nintendo DS emulator #Nintendo emulator #Console emulator #Emulator #Nintendo DS #Console
DSEmu is a small software application designed to work as a Nintendo DS emulator. This open-source emulator gives you the possibility to load your favorite childhood games.
The portability mode allows you to directly run the utility on your system without having to follow the steps included in an installation process. Since the tool doesn’t store Windows registry entries and configuration data, you can open it without administrative privileges. Plus, you can opt for copying it on a USB flash drive or other devices.
The tool adopts a clean and simple layout where you are allowed to import data from GBA ROMs and binaries (AGB, ZIP or BIN file format), DS ROMs and binaries (NDS, BIN or ZIP file format), as well as DS RAM from BIN files.
Unfortunately, there’s no support for a help manual that could help rookies learn more about the utility’s features, so experimenting with the dedicated parameters may prove to be the only solution to get you out of trouble.
DSEmu gives you the possibility to run, pause or reset the current game, as well as animate line or step. You can limit the FPS and enable several features, such as memory, logging, palette, GPU and debugger.
Several configuration settings enable you to run the tool at Windows startup, limit FPS, unscramble text, as well as assign several keyboard shortcuts. In order to apply the changes you need to restart the program.
DSEmu comes with a handy suite of features for helping you work with a Nintendo DS emulator. On the downside, the application hasn’t been updated for a while, so it may cause compatibility issues on newer operating systems.
