Wrestling Scoreboard

Ah, wrestling, one of the great American spectacles! Nowadays unanimously accepted as “sports entertainment” (because “fake sports” may sound a bit harsh), the phenomenon is more popular than it ever was because more people tune in to watch it for the stories that superstars tell inside and outside the ring.

It’s hard not to love pro wrestling because... Wait, this application isn’t about pro wrestling? Oh, it’s about the so-called amateur wrestling, the actual wrestling-wrestling. Of course, why would you even need a scoreboard for pro wrestling? Well, honestly I don’t know too much about amateur wrestling, but this application called Wrestling Scoreboard has something to do with it.

Wrestling Scoreboard was designed as a replacement for a real scoreboard – an item which isn’t necessarily for everyone’s budget. You can easily display it with the help of a projector or a larger LCD or LED screen, and it should be just as efficient as the real thing.

The board itself has a simple design (as most scoreboards do), and you can use it to display the score (d’oh!), the names of the competitors, the teams they represent, their logos and even additional information or advertising materials. All operations are handled from the control panel – a separate tab which will not be displayed on the same screen as the board.

The control panel has a rather intuitive interface that no scorekeeper should have trouble operating. The score can be typed or updated with a click, time advantages can be set, and there’s even a very loud buzzer. Most of these important functions (including the buzzer) can be easily activated through easy-to-remember hotkeys.

It’s easy to conclude that Wrestling Scoreboard is a useful tool for all those who wish to organize amateur wrestling event.
