If you're one of those individuals who like all things smart home-related, then you've most likely heard of Philips Hue lighting products. These smart illumination systems can be connected to the same wireless network your phone or PC uses. This is, in the end, the whole principle behind all smart products: connectivity.

With this in mind, there's no surprise you can actually use your devices to control the lights in your house. Light Party is a free application that allows individuals to do just that, control their Philips smart-lighting solutions from their computer.

The concept is simple. You install your Philips Hue products and subsequently connect them to the same network your PC is using. The fun thing about this application is that it doesn't only work with the multicolored LED products, but also with white bulbs that can only have their color temperature changed.

Another important feature has to do with users being able to control multiple bulbs at the same time. Say you have two colored and one simple white bulb. Choose the appropriate colors for the first two lights and adjust the temperature for the last. It should be fast and helpful to control your lighting without having to access each bulb separately.
