Numismatics can be many things, not just coin collecting. For example, there are numismatists who also collect paper money and are interested in many other alternative methods of payment. However, this application doesn’t really take them into account.

My Value Collection is designed first and foremost for cataloging bullion coins, which strictly refers to coins that are made out of gold, silver or other precious metals. However, the app also allows you to catalog precious metal bars, which isn’t such a common feature. It appears that the developers strongly believe that investing in collections of bullion coins and bars is one of the best ways of storing value.

The program’s interface is not only well-designed, but also very intuitive. You can easily start cataloging every piece of your collection, and provide important information for each item, such as country of origin, mint of origin, metal (you can choose between gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium or copper), weight (both in ounces and grams) and purity.

You’ll probably find many of your coins in the program’s database of more than 20,000 items, but if not, then you can add your own entries, with images, descriptions and information about the purchase. All this data is stored only locally, on your computer, so that no one else has access to information about your coins.
