Ocean Waves for Windows 10/8.1

Ocean Waves is a simple app dedicated to computers running Windows 10, 8.1 and 8, which enables you to listen to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, backed by a chillout melody. It gives you the possibility to set the playback duration and it automatically stops when time's out.

This type of application encourages PC users to take breaks from the computer and enjoy several minutes of relaxation by closing their eyes and focusing on their breath to clear their mind. For other kinds of people it's useful for studying or working hard, and even for enjoying a profound sleep.

The lightweight utility can be seamlessly downloaded from the Microsoft Store and integrated with the Start Screen of Windows 8 and 8.1, or the Start Menu in Windows 10.

When it comes to the interface, Ocean Waves adopts a large window that can be switched to fullscreen mode, whose background contains a photograph with waves and a clear blue sky.

As far as configuration settings are concerned, you can type the exact number of minutes to run the playback for meditation time, as well as increase or decrease the volume level by moving a slider, whether you're performing this action before or after activating the app.

During playback, you can enjoy listing to the sounds of the ocean and the chillout song, as well as view time remaining until the playback ends. It's also possible to specify a new number of minutes to restart the meditation without having to stop the timer beforehand.

There are no other notable options provided by this application. Thanks to the built-in Windows features, you can share it with your friends via email, messaging, OneNote, Twitter or other platforms you have installed.

As expected, Ocean Waves had minimal impact on the computer's performance in our tests, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, the tool can be easily configured by all types of users who want to take short breaks for relaxation and meditation.
