Use this awesome app to control media players on your PC through your phone's browser and never be forced again to get up and close the service yourself #Control Playback #Netflix Remote #VLC Remote #Playback #Netflix #VLC
Yet another remote control application has made its appearance online. RemoteFlix aims to control media players on your PC via a small server, which you can access through your mobile phone's browser. It's neat, if you think about it. You will never have to move your behind, go to your PC and close the applications using your own fingers. It will be something to do whilst in bed, ready to go to sleep. From this perspective, the app seems to be filled with quite a lot of functionality.
Start by installing the application. Once that is out of the way, launch the app and you'll be greeted with a simple split-screen looking window. On one side you will notice a QR code, while on the other an IP address. These are the two possible ways you could access your PC through your phone's browser. It's quite simple, really. Scan the QR code or simply type in the IP address in your phone browser, and presto! Everything will have meaning once again.
If you're wondering how the magic behind it works, in simple terms, the app has access to specific shortcuts available in the media players, giving you, the user, access to those by transferring partial functionality from your apps, mostly Netflix and VLC, to your phone browser. It works wonders.
You will really feel the improvement that this small, yet intuitive program has brought into your life. You could actually be much more productive at the same time. You can now answer messages or calls without rushing to stop your stream so as not to lose any of your beloved shows. Stop the playback from your phone, answer it, and resume your video binging once done.
RemoteFlix is an application that most individuals should have on their computers. If you use it for late-night streams and don't want to repeatedly get up and pause, close or resume your video-watching time, think smart, think RemoteFlix. It won't hurt to try as it is free and accessible for whoever wants to try and change their lives.
