Selection Search

In this day and age, speed and information are highly regarded and somehow related. If you want to boost you browsing speed and information processing; Selection Search is a lightweight tool that can offer both of these features, and more.

The UI is represented as a small window that stores way too many options for its size. This can be a positive feature for some users, and a negative for others. Upon clicking the setting wheel, the interface will double in size by displaying the more advanced settings the program has to offer.

Regarding the installation process, Selection Search requires no installation process, so no information is written on your drive. Just extract it from the archive and run it.

In order to do a quick search you must have a part of text selected. After that you can choose one of the platforms provided by the app (near the settings wheel). You can use Wikipedia, Bing, Yahoo, Dog pile, Swiss, Yandex, Start Page, YouTube and Vimeo.

You can use the same process to translate parts of text to the following languages: English (US, GB), Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.

After selecting the text, keep in mind that the Right-click triggers the translation process and the left left-click performs the web-search.

Moreover, even if the app provides you with a limited number of browsers, the application will still work. It will open your default browser or any app you have installed on your computer and if the browser is opened/active it will now to do from there the search or translations.

Selection Search is a neat and straightforward app that allows you to do go Google searches, mouse only. The actions are bind to each mouse button and the response times are almost instant depending on the system or network connection.
