As the workforce started using video conferences over in-person meetings, we have witnessed several funny moments caused by people who simply forgot to close Zoom following a call. While overall funny, the truth is that it must be embarrassing for the main characters.

ZoomCloser is a tool that can be configured to automatically leave a Zoom meeting and perhaps, spare you some not-so-proud moments.

The application doesn’t come with an interface per se and you can access it from the System Tray. The app’s role is to account for the number of participants and you can set the program to exit Zoom when that number falls below that value.

These aforementioned numbers are displayed in the upper part of the app, so you can check them out whenever necessary. The app includes a feature that allows you to mute the audio, but not from the video conferencing app, but rather from Windows.

Another feature that you may find helpful is that you can record the meeting so that you can review the information later on. The app provides a quick way to access the folder where the videos are saved, so you can manage them accordingly. At the same time, the app lets you know the time and you joined and left the meeting, an option that can be helpful in certain situations, such as proving you were in class, for instance.

If you are regularly forgetting to exit Zoom following video conferencing and would like to avoid unpleasant situations, then perhaps you can consider giving ZoomCloser a try. The app is registering itself to start with Windows, so you can just install and forget about it. If it’s bothersome, you can remove the startup from Task Manager.
