A lightweight application that allows one to swiftly convert units of measurement into a CMD-type environments with minimal effort. #Unit converter #CMD unit conversion #Convert measurement unit #Convert #Unit #Temperature
ConvertU-CLI is an easy-to-use converter that deals with measurement units. It can serve as a daily companion to users who found themselves calculating values for specific units. It might give the impression it's an advanced-type program at first, but in reality, it's very simple and quick at its job. What's even better, the app is both portable and works offline, which makes it more dependable than the online tools we are all used to go to.
ConvertU-CLI sports a plain CMD interface. If you are not into the Command-Line tool nor do you feel comfortable working with what looks like a layout based on it, it is understandable. Yet, besides the looks, there's no other element that matches the CMD dynamic.
The app will start by listing all supported base units. You can process values for mass, digital storage, length, speed, temperature, frequency, area, and time. Each category has a number assigned to it. Typing that number and then pressing Enter will change the list too with a new one containing derived units. From there, use the numbers again to select the units you wish to process, then input the value. The result is immediately displayed and the application closes by itself upon any random input.
If you follow the directive, there is no wrong way about it. The only downside that sticks up would be the lack of a Back button. How so? Well, in case you accidentally input the number for an unwanted unit, you won't be able to undo that unless you restart the app.
ConvertU-CLI is a handy utility for anyone dealing with calculating measurement units. While it reveals itself as a CMD asset, the app requires no specific skills in order to be successfully operated. As for how accurate it is, well, you can give it a try for yourself.
What's new in ConvertU-CLI 1.6:
- We have added an Installer:
- That's right, as long as you're on MacOS or Linux (or most *NIX systems) you can have a very simple way to install. If you're on windows you'll still have to use the EXE and won't have a start menu item to open it simply. I apologize Windows is just obnoxious like that
