People have different learning techniques and there are some applications that help improve said methods. One of them is Portable Discovery FlashCards.

It's a portable and neat application that allows you to create various sets of flash cards and learn faster. You can create as many flash cards as you want and it comes with the option to insert various elements.

The application doesn't require installation, you can place it on your USB drive and run it on any computer. It doesn't come with any customization options, although it would have been nice if you could make some adjustments to the application's overall appearance.

It also lacks any tips or instructions, but you shouldn't have any trouble navigating the program since the UI is quite intuitive.

The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to pick the location when you would like to save flash cards on your computer, specify the number of cards and the data structure.

Creating new cards is quite easy, simply pick from multiple card types, like normal or multiple choice. You can also change the card number and add the question, answer and additional information. All cards are arranged in a list, allowing you to see questions, answers and keep track of correct attempts and the score.

It comes with the option to insert all sort of elements to each of your cards, you can add various symbols like the square root, cubed or bullet symbol. It also lets you check the spelling of cards and order them by score.

Some general settings are also available, you can have the application show the splashscreen on startup or minimize the main window to the system tray, when you're not using it.

Portable Discovery FlashCards is a nice and useful application for creating flash cards and learning faster, but it would have been nice if it had some more customization features.
