Auryo Portable

Made as the no-install counterpart of Auryo, Auryo Portable is a stylish Soundcloud player that can be used to listen to your favorite music straight from your desktop. This way, you can focus on important tasks without having to switch back to the browser tab every time you wish to change the tune.

The tool is based on Electron and represents an unofficial desktop client, so it's not associated with Soundcloud in any way. The portable package can be unzipped right after download, in order to double-click the .exe and reach the main app window. There are no software requirements involved.

It's necessary to log in with your Soundcloud account, after which the client immediately detects your streams, likes and playlists. The streams section is shown by default but you can easily switch to likes or any playlist.

Besides the artist and song name, the app shows image thumbnails. The media control buttons become accessible on the bottom side, so you can minimize Auryo to the taskbar and carry on with your typical desktop activity. The next song in the playlist is played automatically. What's more, you can use a search function integrated in the upper-left corner of the window to discover other songs and artists available on Soundcloud.

There are currently no configuration settings implemented. However, we're expecting Auryo to feature multiple interface themes in upcoming releases, among other options. It didn't put a strain on system resources consumption in our tests, played songs without errors, and generally worked smoothly on Windows 10.

Taking everything into account, Auryo turns out to be an elegant Soundcloud player with straightforward features for all types of users looking for a simple way of connecting to Soundcloud without resorting to a web browser.
