Munt Portable

Munt Portable is a lightweight emulator and synthesizer for MIDI devices such as Roland MT-32, CM-32L, CM-64 and LAPC-I.

This is the portable version of Munt which enables you to store it on USB flash drives or other devices. Accessing the program’s features requires only opening the executable file because you do not have to go through a configuration process. Uninstalling the utility means deleting the files that you have downloaded from your computer.

The layout looks straightforward and well organized. Munt Portable does not offer support for a help manual so you need to decode its dedicated parameters on your own.

You can record audio streams to MID file format, test the MIDI driver, select the audio output device, and tweak the sound in terms of sample rate, SRC quality, chunk length, as well as audio and MIDI latency.

There are several aspects that you can alter about the synthesizer, such as ROM set, reverb mode, time and level, output gain, and stereo. ROM configuration settings imply only selecting the directories that contain the ROM and BIN files.
