Newgrounds Music Player Portable

Newgrounds Music Player Portable is an interactive and intuitive program that comes in handy, for those who want to look up for new records, based on a few basic criteria, and download them to the computer. It also comes with playback controls, the option to create multiple playlists in a short time, and export them on the PC.

Due to the fact the app doesn't need any installation, it can be copied to a USB drive and started directly on other computers. It's wrapped in an accessible and approachable layout with the functions in plain sight and nicely structured, for easy access.

You can find on the left side of the window, the four options you can choose from, genre, playmode, results, and start from a specific page number. In the middle, a few playback buttons are displayed, along with the current results on the right part.

You just have to select the desired genre from the extensive menu, the play mode (e.g. top rated, newly added), results, (50, 100, 200), and the start page. Once the songs are displayed in the list, you can play them in order or randomly, and if the content suits your tastes, you can download it directly into the hard drive. The playlist comes with three modes: normal that shows the found items, your imported or new list, and favorite tracks.

The tool lets you set up custom hotkeys, for quicker navigation. If you don't like the predefined black look the tool comes with, you can pick another one from the settings. Plus, the hue offset slider can be adjusted, while the glow and extended borders, can be disabled.

Taking everything into account, Newgrounds Music Player is a straightforward and interactive application, designed to provide a quick and easy method, to look for new songs you haven't heard, based on several criteria, download favorite ones, and create your own playlist with the songs you like.
