The interface of the program is simple and intuitive. You can import audio tracks from the hard drive or CD by using only the file browser, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported (but batch processing is).

You can preview songs, select the output format and destination, generate an M3U playlist, set the sound quality, as well as enable CDDB access and mouse sound.

You can edit ID3 tags when it comes to the title, album, artist, comment, genre and year of the track.

The software takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a step-by-step tutorial with snapshots and worked smoothly during our tests. It quickly finishes a task and manages to keep an excellent sound quality.

On the other hand, the interface's buttons could had been bigger. Also, you cannot configure more advanced audio settings for conversions, such as the bit rate, sample frequency rate, channels and volume.

Nevertheless, Portable Convert MP3 is a very good tool for audio conversions and we strongly recommend it to all users.
