Capture the entire desktop in a JPG, BMP, or PNG picture, draw a box for an area of interest, or simply pick a target window with this practical, fun screenshots app. #Capture desktop #Desktop capture #Desktop snapshot #Capture #Screenshot #Snapshot
Taking pictures of your screen can be done to perform different tasks. For instance, it can be a part of building tutorials, or simply showing your friends something funny that’s happening. In any case, working with the Windows built-in tool can be time-consuming, but you can always rely on applications like for more options.
As the name clearly points out, the application is the edition of Desktop to Photo you can use directly from a USB flash drive, even on other computers, without having to go through a setup process. What’s more, registries don’t need to be modified for features to work, so you don’t have to worry about affecting the target PC’s health status.
The application is designed to look just like a camera, with side and upper buttons for settings, or browsing through pictures, and a center area to preview pictures. You’re free to move it around, but desktop position doesn’t affect the resulting image. Capturing is done by pressing the shutter button on the upper side, just like on a regular camera.
It’s best to head over to the settings panel in order to configure the output folder, because if it’s not set, you’re not asked where screenshots should be saved. Among others, you can pick the format for the resulting image, with options for BMP, JPG, and PNG, enable shutter sound, and whether or not to enable auto focus.
In case you did enable auto focus, capturing method changes, and now grabs only the targeted window. You need to disable auto focus if you want to capture the whole screen, with another method to grab just a region you define by dragging a box around the desired region.
Bottom line is that many activities can be performed through just what Windows comes equipped with by default, but it doesn’t mean the result lives up to expectations or meets your demands. If taking screenshots is the activity of your choice, Desktop to Photo Portable provides a fun, and simple method to do this more comfortably.
