Icon Maker is a very straightforward application that enables you to create 32-bit color icons from multiple types of images. It requires no installation and can get the job done in seconds.

The program is designed to provide you with a simple method of generating ICO files using images that already have transparency. It allows you to import PNG, BMP, GIF and JPG images of sizes from 16x16 to 256x256.

Files can be loaded from the File menu or using drag and drop, and you can then remove individual items before processing. The exported files are saved as 32-bit color icons with an alpha channel.

If you prefer simple, lightweight software, this application should be right up your alley. It takes up almost no disk space, and it consists of a single executable file that can be launched from any location.

It goes without saying that this application is not the best choice if you need to process the source files in any way before creating icons, as it does not come with any editing functions.
