Pencil Portable

Portable Pencil is a software tool designed in order to help you create sketches or prototypes, and save them to the hard drive in EP and EPZ formats, or export them to PNG, PDF, multi-page SVG or ODT files.

Since this is the portable counterpart of Pencil, you can copy the program files to a portable storage unit (e.g. USD drive) and use it on any computer you gain access to, without needing to deal with an installation process.

Another aspect that is worth mentioning is that the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to suffer any changes due to Portable Pencil.

The interface sports a minimal design and encompasses a menu bar, several shortcut buttons, a few toolbars and a panel to display your project. All users can access it with great ease, regardless of their previous experience with computers.

It contains a large list of templates to help you draw various sketches. For example, you can use common shapes, basic web and flowchart elements, iOS or Android wireframes and so on. Moreover, you can save your own designs to the utility and import new ones from EPC or ZIP files.

Multiple pages can be opened in different tabs and therefore, enabling you to multi-task. It is possible to undo or redo options, cut, copy, paste or delete elements, zoom in and out, add text with custom font type, size and style, make all items of the same size, space them equally and the list goes on.

You can also access a clipart browser, which searched for images on OpenClipart.org, as well as other developer tools, such as stencil or n-patch script generators, and an error console.

Portable Pencil is a useful and powerful piece of software, with enough options to satisfy even highly experienced people.
