Portable ArtResize

This is the portable edition of ArtResize, a tool that lets you change the size of your pictures, as well as perfom other image operations. It can be easily handled, even by first-time users.

Since this is a portable software application, installing Portable ArtResize is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on a removable drive, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.

You can carry Portable ArtResize with you when you're on the move. What's more important is that the Windows Registry does not receive new updates and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal.

The interface of the program is clean and pretty intuitive. Images can be added to the file list with the help of either the file browser, folder view or 'drag and drop' method. Processing multiple items simultaneously is possible.

The file list shows the name and dimension of each picture. You can preview each image, specify the location for the new copies, select one of the available presets for resizing, and proceed with the task.

You can turn the format of pictures into JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF or TIFF, rename files, and apply image watermarks. There are several customization settings available for each output extension - these revolve around the quality, color space, DCT method, smoothing, compression and filter, among others. Plus, you can make ArtResize preserve the proportions and settings of the source pictures, as well as restore all settings to their default values.

The image processing program runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task, and keeps a good image quality after file conversion. We have not come across any issues during our tests; Portable ArtResize can be handled by first-time and advanced users alike.
