Portable QtlMovie

Portable QtlMovie is the install-free edition of QtlMovie, providing the same options and capabilities as the latter, but not affecting the system's registry and allowing you to run it from a removable drive. With Portable QtlMovie, you can encode videos, add subtitles to your movies, and perform conversions from one format to another.

Attempting to keep things as simple as possible, Portable QtlMovie features a one-window interface, with no extra menus or windows. Usage is pretty straightforward, especially if you are familiar with the settings of video and audio files.

To begin with, you have to select the input multimedia file using the dedicated browsing dialog. By default, you cannot process more than one file at a time because the application runs in "single file' mode. If you plan on converting more than one file, then you must switch to the batch mode to be able to select multiple input media files.

Depending on the type of the video file, Portable QtlMovie displays different video and audio configurations. If you are not familiar with such settings, then leaving the defaults on should be the way to go.

Portable QtlMovie also enables you to add subtitle files to the videos you are processing, providing support for different subtitle formats. Optionally, you can configure the application to change the aspect ratio of the video.

There are various output formats you can select from, including MPEG, ISO images, AVI, or file types that are compatible with certain devices, such as iPads, iPhones, and Android. Portable QtlMovie can generate an ISO file designed for DVD burning.
