Planning daily activities, managing a hectic schedule, remembering important dates and keeping track of important events are just some of the reasons why people continue to use calendars.

CALENDAR is a lightweight application that enables you to keep track of the days, months and all the years for a period between 1 and 1,000,000 all in one place.

In spite of the fact that the interface is not exactly eye-candy, it is clean and enables you to view all the months and days of the desired year. The UI comes as a medium-sized window with a white background and includes the months arranged chronologically in the upper and lower sections. In the middle region, you can view a dedicated region where you can select the desired year.

It is necessary to mention that the app does not allow any sort of customization, such as zoom in or zoom out and that you cannot preview months individually. The calendar displays the week as they occur in the year with the weekends marked in red and the other days in black.

As you probably hinted by now, this is a very rudimentary calendar that does not have any other role than allowing you to preview the yearly calendar. In case you want to preview a certain year, then you can simply double-click in the dedicated field, type in the year and press enter.

Even though the selected date is displayed in a green square, it would be helpful if the app included a more advanced highlighting feature. It would be useful if the program allowed you to create events and alarms for them, especially since this is one of the main reasons why you want to download a calendar app for your computer.

While it is true that it is capable of displaying the period from year 1 to year 1,000,000, the application does not bring anything new compared to the default calendar in Windows.
