Portable Total Organizer

This is the portable version of Total Organizer, a program that has tools to help you keep track of your schedule.

Since installation is not necessary, you can store Total Organizer on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.

Thus, you can always have Total Organizer with you when you're on the move. Plus. The Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal.

The interface of the app is clean but you may feel somewhat disoriented at the beginning when it comes to navigation. You can add tasks and set their start and end data, priority level, completion status, reminder and repeating mode.

You can schedule a task, manage a to-do list and write notes, as well as manage a contacts list (insert personal and business information).

It is also possible to use the search, undo, copy and paste functions, import and export data, edit fields and change the viewing mode (e.g. large icons, list, details). But you may also create temporary tasks, use a date calculator, and reconfigure keyboard shortcuts.

From the 'Preferences' screen, you can make Total Organizer start minimized, alter the short and long date formats, enable to show background images on lists, as well as configure database properties (e.g. password protection, fields and subscriptions managers).

The program uses a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and includes user documentation. On the downside, Total Organizer popped up multiple errors and crashed on several occasions during our evaluation. Plus, the interface could had been better organized; less experienced individuals may take a while to get accustomed to it.
