NoteTray

This application is dedicated to those of us who are always on the run and need to write things quickly on their computer, in order to remember for later. NoteTray, just like the name suggests, is an application that allows users to take notes with the help of a system tray app. In fact, this is the program, and it is very useful, indeed.

The application is very simple. It doesn't have any menus, and once you close it, all the info you put into it will be lost. It was created with the sole purpose of being there to be noted on when you don't have any alternatives and time is pressing. It is exactly this simplicity that makes it so appealing.

It works fast and allows any type of text to be written. It doesn't, however, allow font changes. That comes standard, and so does the theme, which is either dark or light. If you are not too keen on these aspects, then the app is not for you.

If you think that this app is useless on account of it not being easy to move around, think twice. NoteTray is portable, which means that you could put it on a stick and operate it from various PCs and laptops without having to install it. It does not have an installer, as a matter of fact, so portable is the only way to go.

NoteTray is a very basic app, but in no way useless. It's going to work for those users who feel like they could receive an important call at any time and have nothing to write the details of their phonecall on. It is designed to be there just in case, and it does exactly that, in a remarkable way too: no lag, no resource consumption and no nagware.
