X-AkelPad

X-AkelPad is developed as the portable version of AkelPad, an open-source editor for plain text. It runs on all Windows platforms out there, comes with support for Unicode strings on Unicode systems, and is able to process large files.

X-AkelPad is able to process full Unicode files written in UTF-8, UTF-16, UTF-32 and can automatically identify Unicode files. Plus, you can use Windows, Mac or Unix end-of-line markers, and select text horizontally (by lines) or vertically (by columns).
