Portable RoboMirror

Made as the portable counterpart of RoboMirror, this app enables you to synchronize two directories by configuring a few intuitive options. It offers support for multiple tasks, extended NTFS attributes, history, and a task scheduler.

It adopts a user-friendly interface that invites you to get started by creating a new mirror task. You can specify the source and output folders, exclude any files and folders (including all hidden, system and encrypted items), copy extended NTFS attributes, use volume shadow copy, as well as delete any extra files and folders.

The sync task is not immediately initialized. It's added to the pending queue instead, giving you enough time to create new tasks, remove any ones from the list, or edit their properties. Before proceeding with it, you can review the number of files and folders to be copied and deleted.

You can check out the complete history of a selected task, including the timestamps of its initializations. RoboMirror can also be asked to execute jobs automatically at a specific time, either daily, weekly or monthly. Apart from the fact that you can restore tasks, there are no other notable options available here.

Since there is no installation pack involved, you can drop RoboMirror's files in any location on the disk or save it to a USB flash drive to be able to directly run the utility on any machine without previous setup. It shouldn't make any changes to your Windows registry.

The program worked smoothly in our tests, without hanging, crashing or showing errors. It carried out sync jobs swiftly while remaining light on system resources consumption, and it minimized to the systray during this time.

To sum it up, RoboMirror offers a simple solution to scheduling synchronization tasks for any two directories, backed by practical configuration settings for all user levels. Plus, it's freeware.
