Proto

Proto is a backup tool designed to help individuals secure their projects from accidental deletion, overwriting, or corruption. This little program runs in the background, meaning that it requires minimal interaction.

While it is advertised as an all-encompassing solution for all types of files, Proto can be used to secure larger and more intricate projects developed with services and tools such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Blender, 3dsMax, Maya, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.

To make things easier, Proto was compiled as a portable tool. Just launch it, set it up, and work on whatever is on your plate without additional worries about installation, registry keys and so on.

Four protocols are keeping the application on the right track, and all are automatic. The first protocols ensure all version of a project are backed up, while the other three protects your files from corruption, accidental deletion or unwanted override. All four rules are placed at the top of the UI, and need no management, as all of them should be in effect at once.

To summarize, Proto is a backup tool that looks fairly easy to use, and comes in a nice, flexible package. It might have a typo here and there, but if you find it useful, that shouldn't be an issue.
