When it comes to advanced file management, let's just agree that Windows Explorer is a bit under-powered. That's why there are countless third-party apps out there ready to step in when things get more complicated; popular examples include Total Commander, Explorer++, and XYplorer, just to name a few.

Total Copier is not your typical full-featured file manager but rather a piece of software that is the middle ground between one and the Windows Explorer, specialized in streamlining most file transfer operations.

You can get this app up and run in a matter of seconds, without much effort on your behalf thanks to a standard installer. It's worth noting that the tool automatically integrates with both your computer's taskbar and the Windows shell. Learning to use this tool is hardly challenging, even for novices, but it may require a fair bit of getting used to, especially since it packs way more interesting features than you might be originally lead to believe.

We'll start off by pointing out that Total Copier keeps a record of all your file management jobs, so you can effortlessly resume or, if need be, restart them later on. There's also a so-called Smart Free Space Checker and an Advanced File Collision Management System, both of which are aimed at making the  file management workflow less of a headache.

One of the app's best features is definitely the Multi-Clipboard tool which, as its name clearly states, allows you to work with up to 9 clipboard entries. To use it, you need to make sure that you have a keyboard with Number Pad and that the NUM key is activated. Then, simply select the files, hold CTRL and press a number from 1 to 9, from the number pad only, mind you. To paste the data, hold the WINDOWS key and press the associated number, once more.

Head over to the Settings section, and you are bound to discover just how competent this tiny app really is. For example, you can enable or disable features like auto resume interrupted jobs, create renaming rules, and change the buffer size and the transfer process speed. What's more, you can also set up the app to play a sound after completing a job, as well as to shutdown or restart your computer.

Having all that, by now it should be quite clear that Total Copier is an efficient app that's well worth having around.
