Portable SliderDock

Desktop launchers are specialized in providing easy ways in order to help you organize and access your favorite applications. Portable SliderDock subscribes to this category and lets you run utilities with the aid of configurable rings that are placed on your screen.

Since this is the portable version of the program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.

You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to run apps on the fly, without having to go through installation steps.

Portable SliderDock makes use of a central ring which provides quick access to configuration settings, and empowers you to create multiple rings which are placed around the main one. Using the wheel screen function you may easily switch from another ring to another. Plus, you may view extra information about each file, such as name, icon, and file path.

There’s also support for drag-and-drop, so you can add the files, documents, directories, and programs with minimal effort. You can move the main ring (and automatically the smaller ones) to a user-defined selection on the screen.

You may change the utilities’ icons by adding custom images (JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG, ICO), delete the selected ring and create a new one, change the ring name, and hide the ring from your desktop (it still runs in the background and can be activated from the system tray).

What’s more, you can run the utility at Windows startup, reverse mouse wheel rotation, automatically hide the ring when launching an application, activate the portable mode, and assign hotkeys for hiding or revealing the tool, and other handy actions (e.g. rotating icons clockwise or vice versa, selecting the previous or next ring).

Portable SliderDock lets you choose between different presets for setting the background image for the small rings or upload one from your PC, adjust the ring and icon size, alter the rotation speed and animation quality, as well as apply a special effect when the mouse cursor is placed on the selected icon (monochrome, pixelate, or both of them).
