Portable ShowMyPC

This is the portable edition of ShowMyPC. Similar to TeamViewer, this program lets you access remote computers, as well as gives other users access to your own workstation. It can be seamlessly handled.

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and run it immediately.

Alternatively, ShowMyPC can be moved to a USB flash drive or similar removable device, in order to run it on any computer.

More importantly, no items remain in the Windows Registry or on the hard drive after removing the program.

The interface of ShowMyPC is based on a standard window with an uncomplicated layout that's easy to navigate.

Once you want to share your computer, ShowMyPC generates a random password that should be given to the users who want to access it. The same principle applies to you: if you want to view a remote PC, you must get the password from the presenter.

It is possible to schedule a meeting using the web or Microsoft Outlook, start or attend one, view meeting room activity, configure server settings (SSH server, port number, user name, password), as well as to turn off Vista security prompts.

ShowMyPC is very light on the system resources, as it uses a minimum amount of CPU and system memory. It offers multilingual support and has a good response time. The tool performed well during our tests, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, less experienced users can quickly learn how to work with ShowMyPC.
