Registry Compressor Portable

This is the portable twin of Registry Compressor, a software utility designed to optimize the Windows registry in an attempt to restore some stability to the operating system. It comes packed with an intuitive set of options for all user groups.

Since there is no installation involved, you can drop the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

Another possibility is to save Registry Compressor to a USB flash disk or other removable storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly and without installing anything beforehand.

An important factor to keep in mind is that the tool does not add new entries to the registry or create extra files on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.

The main app window has an intuitive structure, where you can get started by performing an analysis on the Windows registry to assess the current situation. Scan results shows the current and estimated size after compression, along with the size difference (in size and percentage) when it comes to each registry hive.

It is possible to compress the registry in one of three modes: normal (very fast), better (slow) and best (slowest), as well as to set the tool to power off or restart on task completion. System reboot is nececessary to complete the compression task, but it can be delayed.

The tool carries out scanning and compression jobs rapidly while remaining light on system resources. There were no kind of issues in our tests, since it did not hang, crash or show error notifications. All in all,  Registry Compressor Portable delivers great results when it comes to registry optimization, and its options can be easily configured by anyone.
