Portable Startup Manager

This is the portable version of Startup Manager, an application which allows you to enable and disable applications which automatically run at system startup. It can be easily handled by all user levels.

Since installation is not necessary, you can place Portable Startup Manager on an external device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry keys will remain unchanged.

The interface of the program is clean and simple to navigate through. A list of all apps that currently start automatically at Windows boot is displayed upon initialization. Here you can check out the name, command line, section and status of each item.

You can disable items and remove their entries from the list, read application properties (e.g. file name, version, size), as well as view programs according to various criteria (e.g. current user, computer).

The simple-to-use software requires a very small amount of system resources (which is barely noticeable), has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Unfortunately, there is no help file available and you cannot change program settings (e.g. enable Portable Startup Manager to minimize to the system tray). Nevertheless, we recommend this program to all users who are looking for a straightforward tool.
