View your system's specs, get notifications on low disk space, and view real-time sensor readings in the systray using this portable tool #System information detector #Sys info detector #Detect sysinfo #Sysinfo #Detector #System
Getting information about your system's hardware and software capabilities is the first step toward diagnosing and troubleshooting issues. Designed as the no-install version of SysInfo Detector, SysInfo Detector Portable is a Windows tool that collects details about your workstation, showing them in a user-friendly interface.
It can give you alerts when your're running low on disk space as well as show the current temperature readings of your HDD and other parts of your PC in the systray, thanks to sensor support.
As the program doesn't require installation, you can keep it stored anywhere on the disk or copy it to a USB flash drive to easily move it around between computers. It creates a configuration file in the same directory as itself, so it doesn't add items to the AppData folder (but this can be changed from the options panel). To avoid reading errors, you should run the .exe as admin.
After brief moments during which SysInfo Detector gets busy gathering all data, it reveals summary, sensors, device and alarm information in the "General" tab. Details about the OS, licenses, network, programs, hotfixes, processes, installed printers, users and local groups can be accessed in the "Software" tab. Meanwhile, in-depth, technical data can be seen for the CPUID, SMBIOS (DMI), PCI and USB devices, SPD, Windwos devices and storage, ASPI and unknown devices in the "System Detail" tab. All these tabs can be accessed from the left side of the main app window.
A standard search function is put at your disposal for browsing all these areas. You can also copy data to the clipboard. The default level taken into account for showing low disk space space is set to 10% but can be changed into anything else. You can take a look at the systray icon to view the current temperature of your CPU.
Sensors can be configured from the settings panel, where you can ask SysInfo Detector Portable to show or hide temperature and fan readings for the CPU, GPU, motherboard and HDD, as well as change the maximum temperature value taken into consideration for hiding values.
The app worked smoothly on Windows 10 in our tests, loading computer data quickly while remaining light on system resources consumption. Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, SysInfo Detector Portable can be easily handled.
