Easily create applications that can run on more platforms in an intuitive interface for the visual design, and special script to configure overall behavior. #Application development #Cross-platform development #Program builder #Development #Build #Builder
Without any kind of applications at all, a computer’s practicality would become rather questionable in one’s home. Even reading this is done through an application. To build one, you need some programming knowledge and skills, but there are different programs out there just like HyperNext Studio that aim to make it a lot easier.
At its core, the application aims to put the necessary means at your disposal to create any kind of cross-platform program. Running it might have you scratching your head for a little while due to the ambiguous design. Several windows and panels are floating on the canvas so you can organize it the way you see fit.
The toolbar might shed some light on what needs to be done, with some interface elements like buttons checkboxes, text fields, drop-down menus, pictures, sprites, and more, displayed with thumbnails. The toolbar is also home to objects properties, such as place on the design, look, value, group, and main.
Sadly, it gets a bit frustrating when trying to create the visual layer of your new program. You can’t just drag elements from the toolbar, being forced to press the New button and click on the canvas location each time. Moreover, almost any kind of object manipulation requires one too many mouse clicks on the object itself, while adding or modifying any kind of properties being rather difficult, and confusing at times.
The other part of the application is related to scripts, namely what the application does and how elements you created interact or respond to user input. However, coding doesn’t rely on a particular programming language, using a special type of script, almost placing you at a beginner level.
The script creation menu is counter-intuitive and surely pushes you to call on the help manual. Luckily, the documentation file is rich in content, and if you find the application to your liking, there’s a chance you get the hang of it when going through help content.
HyperNext Studio tries to come with a new and approachable method of creating programs that can run on any kind of operating system. Intentions are good, and there’s even a rich online content database to see what can be accomplished. The only thing you need is to prepare yourself with a lot of patience, ambition, and a little creativity of course.
