Python Connector for Firebird

Relational databases are widely used for their ability to offer users multiple options in terms of procedures, syntax and of course, their inherent relational model. One such relational database management system (RDBMS) is Firebird. Used mainly for trading functions, this database is also involved in clearing activities and reporting.

This library was designed specifically in order to offer users a specialized tool that can allow them to achieve connectivity between their Python-based applications and Firebird databases. The library is deployed for both 32 and 64-bit systems, and just as with similar connectors from Devart, also comes equipped with support for the Python DB API 2.0 specification.

When it comes to compatibility, the library will allow users to rely on Python versions 3.7 to 3.12 and in terms of the Firebird counterpart, versions 1x to 5x. The connector supports the Over-the-Wire (OTW) encryption feature of Firebird, which will allow all data transmissions to and from the database environment, to be encrypted accordingly.
