Drop Target Files & Picture

Drop Target Files & Picture provides developers with a Delphi component ready to assist them in implementing the IDropTarget interface in their projects. This interface allows an application to receive file and picture dropping from Google Chrome (or other Chromium-based tool) on certain control handles.

The Delphi component is fully compatible with both 86-bit and 64-bit software that works on Windows XP up to Windows 11. The downloaded package comes with all the components and libraries needed to implement the given functionality, as well as two binary, compiled demo applications, for x86 and x64 platforms, respectively.

The demo application allows you to see how the component actually works and test its functionality to check if it is right for your own project. You will notice that it allows you to drag and drop not just pictures from Google Chrome, but also various other files or even multiple files. Moreover, it ensures compatibility with any other application that works as Google Chrome does, using the same methods.

The component allows developers to specify multiple drop target handles. It is worth mentioning that it provides pure Delphi code, with no additional dependencies.
